With rising levels of e-literacy and availability of digital infrastructure, demand continues to grow for services that help citizens realize the potential of e-Governance. The state government responded by launching key e-Governance initiatives and by rolling out over 80 e-Governance applications for the people.
Technopark is an autonomous organisation fully owned by the Government of Kerala, a CMMI Level 4, ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 certified Technology Park. Being one of India's largest IT Parks, it is one of the world's greenest Technopolis as well. Technopark came into existence in 1990 at Kerala State Capital- Trivandrum. Technopark companies employ 63,000 IT professionals. Spread across 662.54 acres of land with 102.7 lakhs sq. ft of IT built-up space and home to 460 IT/ITeS. Technopark is rated CRISIL’s A+/Stable. Technopark’s first IT building- ‘Kabani’ in Technocity campus is ready. The signature building with a built-up area of 2 lakhs sq. ft was inaugurated on 4th Feb 2021 by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan to accommodate the demand for more office space from IT companies. Basic infrastructure development got completed that include road, power, and water. Hon’ble President of India Shri.Ram Nath Kovind in 2017 did the Launch of the Technocity project. SunTec, the IT company commissioned their first IT building of 3.10 lakhs sq. ft in March 2021 in their 10-acre campus at Technocity. Kerala Digital University campus of 10.33 acres also got commissioned in February 2021. TCS has taken 97 acres of land at Technocity and they have signed the MoU in February 2021 with Technopark to set up Aerospace Hub in Technocity. Brigade Enterprises has signed MoU with Technopark for 12.87 acres in Technocity to develop World Trade Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.
Knowledge City, Trivandrum
At Technopark Phase IV, an area of 100 acres is earmarked for Knowledge City to set up the ‘Centre of Excellence’ (CoE) in emerging technologies. The future technologies focussed by these ‘CoE’s would be Cognitive Analytics, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, e-Mobility, Fintech, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, Machine Learning, and Space Science. The Knowledge City will have an academic partner to promote new technologies and will facilitate SMEs/Start-up ecosystems.

Cyberpark, Kozhikode the first IT park promoted by the state in the Malabar region was established under Cyberparks Kozhikode as an autonomous society registered under the Society Registration Act 1860, on 28th January 2009. Cyberpark has an expanse of 42.5-acre campus and have developed the first IT SEZ building “Sahya” measuring around 2.88 lakhs sq. ft. with a structure of double basement + Ground + 4 upper floors with all supporting facilities.
