Chief Minister Shri V S Achuthanandan inaugurated the new office and website of Kerala State IT Infrastructure Ltd (www.keralaitparks.org), Kerala’s first Technology Commercialization Facilitation Agency (TCFA), Mobile Governance Services in Kerala at a function held at Technopark. The function was attended by the Sri M A Vaheed, MLA, Dr Ajay Kumar, Principal Secretary IT, Smt Ishita Roy, IAS, Shri.B.K Raichandani, Registrar, TIFAC, Dr. Mukesh Mathur, Scientist 'D',TIFAC, Govt of India, Dr.Suresh Das, Director, NIIST, Shri. Sanjay Vijayakumar, CEO- MobME,Shri Mervin Alexander, CEO Technopark, Sri Binu A Pazhoor, CEO CyberPark. The agreement to set up the 100th Technopark Business Incubation incubated company was also signed by Mervin Alexander and the CEO of TRANDMS Media & Technology Pvt. Ltd.
Aimed at better service for the people, Kerala IT's latest initiative - Mobile Governance Services was launched. The initiative includes 20 different services offered by Govt Departments. Services such as e-SMS, a common SMS Gateway for the Government Departments, Sutharaya Keralam, MMS Platform for District Collectors, SMS platform for Motor Vehicles Department and KWA Bill alerts will be available.
The Technopark Technology Business Incubation (T-TBI) was chosen by Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), Govt. Of India, with the task of setting up the TCFA in Kerala. The TCFA will work as a facilitation centre for effective Technology Transfers. TCFA has been set up to bridge the gap between innovators and its marketability. Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander said the TCFA would bridge the gap by finding out the appropriate buyers for the indigenously developed new technologies to commercial world and facilitating technology transfer.
