CBI probe against three colleges

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered cases against three self financing engineering colleges in the state for obtaining the clearance of All India Council for Technical Education (AICT) through back door.

The CBI would probe into the allegations that Trissur Thejas Engineering College, Vadakkanchery Malabar Engineering College and Palakkad Institute of Science and Technology bribed the AICT officials to obtain the clearance. All these colleges still did not have the infrastructure facilities stipulated by AICT.
