Board of Governors Meeting of Technopark TBI

The second meeting of the Board of Governors (BOG) of Technopark TBI will be held at Technopark on July 8, 2010. Shri .H.K Mittal, Advisor , NSTEDB, DST, Govt of India and Dr.Dinesh Awasthi, Director, EDII Ahmedabad will be attending the BOG Meet which will be chaired by Mr. Mervin Alexander IPoS, CEO, Technopark. The meeting aims to plan for the operational strategies to set tone for the financial year 2010-11 and to evaluate the performance of the last financial year. The first quarter provided some proud moments for Technopark TBI with its incubatees, Light Logics winning the Gold medal in the DST- Lockheed Martin India Innovation Growth Programme and Artin Dynamics winning the Sankalp 2010 Award.
TechTop 2010 to be held

The finals of the fifth edition of the National Innovation Contest - TechTop-2010, for identifying and recognizing the best innovative talents from among the students of Engineering Colleges/Institutes of India will be at Technopark from July 29-31, 2010. The contest is organized jointly by Degree Controls, Inc., Technopark Trivandrum, National Research Development Corporation (NRDC, Govt. of India), Executive Knowledge Lines monthly and IEEE. The exhibition of successful models and the innovators’ presentations before a national level expert committee at the Technopark will be done during the finals.  A totally non-commercial venture of this kind, TechTop has been able to celebrate several bright budding engineers through the last four contests.



The first prize is Rs One Lakh sponsored by Degree Controls, Inc., USA. There are second and third prizes of Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 30,000, as well as special prizes for the best business plan, best all girls’ team work and a consolation prize – all of Rs. 20,000 each. The initially short listed entries can also avail the technology incubator facility in the Technopark. The contest is to search for the most innovative product ideas that could benefit the Society, when developed. 21 Innovative project are shortlisted for the finals to be held in Technopark.
