In order to scientifically ascertain the socio-economic impact that Technopark has had in Thiruvananthapuram district where the park is located, the services of the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) is to be utilised.
Expected to be completed in six months, the study would also look into the number of indirect jobs generated by the setting up of the park and the remuneration it has provided to workers.
The Technopark is currently celebrating its 20 years of excellence , since it started on its mission of bringing in industry of high technology to Kerala. It was the first ever technology parks of its kind to be set up in the country, and has been expanding on a regular basis , and has now achieved the status of being the largest IT park in the country.
