Fast Track System in RTO Offices

 mvdkerala

The  Transport Minister Transport  Jose Thettayil said  that  all  RTO and sub-RTO offices in the State, would henceforth have fast-track counters where people can avail over 15 different services by spending minimal time in the queue.  These services would  start from  June 23.

Intended to increase the efficiency  of the Motor Vehicles’ Department, the public  would be able to register their vehicles, renew licences, execute paper work for selling vehicles, get duplicates of documents, change their address, renew permits etc., through these  counters. They can apply online and take a print out, which can be taken to fast-track counters. This would  also help  ensure  correct data entry .  The counters would funtion  from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in RTO offices, and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in sub-RTO offices.

Let this be a success. But the problem is that the single window counter system is already installed in many RTO offices, which have not been able to handle the needs of people. Even though we can remit the fee for various services quickly, the delay in getting the services is too much. For example if we need a change in the RC book of a vehicle it will take a month and more. These delays should be eliminated first.

  3. Anish,

Please visit the RTO office in your locality for more details on the fast track facility. All RTO and sub-RTO offices are supposed to have fast track counters.

    Thanks and Regards,
